DESCRIPTION
Pranayama (art of breath control) and Meditation (practice of inner focus and reflection) synergize seamlessly with asanas (physical postures) to deepen the mind-body connection. This integration fosters profound relaxation, stress reduction, and enhanced concentration, while also facilitating self-awareness and spiritual growth.
Students will be taught how to perform Jala Neti (nasal cleansing) safely and teach the many pranayama and meditation techniques from the famed Bihar School of Yoga, renowned for these higher teachings of yoga. Focus will be on learning how to teach to beginners and advanced students and understand why some techniques are unsafe to teach to beginners. Investigation into the Neuroscience of Meditation and understanding why meditation may not be suitable for everyone will also be explored. Taught by Jo Phee who graduated directly from the Bihar lineage, students will leave the training equipped with many creative ways of interweaving pranayama and meditation within the yin practice.
As the FIRST yoga school in the world to create a 300-hour advanced yin yoga certification program, this comprehensive training is designed in accordance with the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance USA. Upon graduation, students may apply directly with Yoga Alliance USA for “YACEP” status or accumulate these hours towards Yinspiration’s 300-hr certification with Yoga Alliance.
