Experience the World’s FIRST Cadaver Lab Dedicated to Bone Morphology!

Immerse yourself in a groundbreaking gross anatomy lab that offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore bone morphology and its profound connection to human anatomy and movement. This one-of-a-kind experience includes an exclusive lecture on bone morphology and skeletal variations, revealing its practical applications in movement and manual therapy. Through guided dissections, participants will gain invaluable insight into the intricate relationship between muscles, fascia, bone structure, and the biomechanics of the human body.

This unique gross anatomy lab offers an opportunity to study bone morphology and explore human anatomy using unfixed, fresh-frozen cadavers—free from embalming chemicals. This approach preserves the anatomy in its most authentic state, showcasing muscles, fascia and connective tissues in their purest form, natural colors, and highest quality. The fresh-tissue format allows for greater freedom of manipulation, enabling participants to fully appreciate movement, fascial continuity, and the dynamic relationships within the body. Applied kinesiology will be discussed when analyzing bone restrictions and their implications.

Hands-On Experience

• Participants will work in small groups of 6 students per cadaver/table, ensuring ample space and time for dissection.
• The process will be unhurried, from skin to bone over the course of 6 days.
• A total of 4 cadavers will be available, providing opportunities for comparative anatomy, analysis of bone morphology and skeletal variations.
• Full participation in physical dissection will begin on Day 1, with expert guidance offered throughout. No prior dissection experience is required.

By the end of the program, participants will have fully explored the form, gaining invaluable insight into human anatomy, variations, movement, and the intricate study of muscles, fascia and bones. This lab promises to set gold standards in anatomical education and inspire a deeper understanding of the human body.

This lab is part of the Advanced module of Yinspiration’s Yin Yoga certification program.

Note: The gross anatomy lecture, dissection lab and bone morphology will focus on the lower limbs only (hips, knees, ankles). However, during daily dissection, students are free to explore the whole form on their own, but taught instructions will be given to the lower limbs only.

As the FIRST yin yoga school in the world to create a 1000hrs Diploma in Yin Yoga certification, this comprehensive training is designed in accordance with the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance USA. Upon graduation, students may apply directly with Yoga Alliance USA for “YACEP” status.
